STORY

Greta Wolzak is a photographic artist and director from Western Australia, currently based in Newdegate. She honed her skills under the guidance of Jules Tennant & Shaireen VanTuil at North Metropolitan TAFE. While Greta's professional portfolio includes commercial ventures such as wedding photography, her true passion lies in a unique blend of conceptual and journalistic approaches within her artistic practice.

Greta's signature style embraces a documentary aesthetic infused with a dreamlike quality, offering viewers a window into her world where reality and imagination intertwine seamlessly. With a keen eye for the rural landscapes of Western Australia, she delves deep into the raw and authentic essence of life in these regions, capturing moments that resonate with both beauty and harsh reality. Infusing her imagery with elements of poetry and storytelling, Greta adds layers of depth to her work, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in narratives woven through her lens.

Greta's has been featured in publications such as Frankie and Opalus Magazine, while also earning her a scholarship to the Angkor War Photo Festival in 2019. She has been apart of the PCP Collective in 2022 and has made her mark in the IRIS Award circuit in 2023. Additionally, Greta boasts a rich collection of self-published Zines dating back to 2017.
